The brief for this project was communities of practice, with my chosen community being Design Studios. I chose to focus on the launch of a conceptual branding studio.
The name "the Kitchen" was chosen due to my interest in the Danish word Hygge which can be summarized as an atmosphere, interaction, cosiness and well-being. The books I read on the subject describe the kitchen as being one of the central spaces of hygge. My kitchen space reminds me of making, sharing, living well, craziness and good social interaction. Of which the sense and feeling I wish to be driven into a creative studio.
